I applied to a university yesterday.
by kwintestal inafter a few years of humming and hawing, i decided i would.
it was more of what i would take that held me back then if i should go.. i'm only 28, so i'm not too far behind.
we'll see how working full time and going to school will go.

My old KH had a personal visit from me today!
by moshe ini was on business in the area of my old congregation ( i live out of state)- the one i first got baptized in back in 1973. they were just getting started on their discussion before service- it was 9:03 am and i just impulsively turned into the parking lot and decided to pay them a surprise visit.
i just walked into the kh and looked at them for 30 seconds.
i didn't recognize anyone and finally they asked me what i wanted.

can you imagine if that guy looks up the stuff you mentioned? You seem to have a knack for this. Could be a new hobby! visiting KHs at this time of day - they are gearing up to talk to the public and in you come - their cordial face is on.

It would be interesting to JWs if they were the only ones spewing this, but they are a tiny voice in this toxic soup.
the list of those preaching doom & gloom - get your affairs in order is what's scary. Look at the millions who follow these kooks, buy all their books, leave their rapture letters online, poor money into the jewish movement, support the wars, ........etc.

SO, what IS HILARIOUS is that the JWs, think they are the only ones doing this!!! hahahahahaha Even when they accidently get a glimpse of VAN IMPE and his lovely wife, they still think that they are the only ones, because they use the name Jehovah! don't teach the standard trinity, or some other goofy exclusivity.
Exposing the JWs in amongst all the other literal or spiritual spouting dispensationalists would be a real eye opener for them.
of course, its more sad than funny.

I just bought the dvd put out by National Geographic. and have had google news alerts, minimum 1/day, everyday for at least the past 5-6 months. Its very much still being debated.
Personally, I don't see what the big deal is, why this story doesn't just go along with the others. Except for the way history has used the Judas figure as a scapegoat, if the whole life, death and resurrection of Jesus was prophesized, foretold, and expected, events would HAVE to happen for it all to be fulfilled.
and what if he didn't commit suicide? but was murdered to have him silenced?
as far as gnostism goes, there are extremists in every school of thought. I can see where the 1st century governing body (hahahahahah) would want to extinguish that way of thinking. Can't be the powers that rule if everyone is believing in the symbolic/spiritual/mystical - those human LORDS would not be nece$$ary.

Is it possible, they say they are witnesses, Ruge makes his infomercial, the local elders say THEY haven't even been able to see the parents, this shows the public that HLC does not interfere or coerce parents or have anything to do with their decisions regarding blood.

while application to a seasoned cult like the watchtower may be more ambiguous than a one-leader organization, i would like to know your viewpoints as to how you may have noticed any of these tendencies among elders and other leaders within the watchtower organization.
it certainly applies to rutherford for one!

Anitar.... I believe Rutherford manipulated himself into the presidency, and was not Russell's chosen "heir". By WT standards this makes Rutherford and all his followers that he named Jehovah's witnesses, down to this present day APOSTATES, since the original group of International Bible Students still congregate.

question re a jw marrying a non jw???
by nelly1 ini left the org a few years ago but my friend in the org wants me to go to her wedding she is marrying a non jw, she has been councelled for seeing him and is on reproof, they dont know she is going to marry him shes not telling them till after, all her family are jw some are going, its a civil ceremony, will they df her if she marries him?.
